The Workshop at Macy’s- Vendor Development Program

Interested in doing business with Macy’s? The Workshop at Macy’s is a retail vendor program designed to help women and minority-owned businesses succeed in the retail industry. The program provides free four and a half day training courses where participants will learn how to create and execute business and financial strategies, and how to build strong partnerships with buyers.

The Workshop at Macy’s launched in 2011 and the first vendors to graduate from the Workshop began launching lines in 2012. Previous participants involved in The Workshop sell a range of products including cosmetics, jewelry, housewares and footwear. In 2013, Macy’s purchases from minority- and women-owned business enterprises totaled about $955.1 million and included purchases from multiple Workshop at Macy’s alumni.
